7 BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN THE WORLD THAT YOU NEED TO SEE IN REAL LIFE
7 BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN THE WORLD THAT YOU NEED TO SEE IN REAL LIFE
How many places have you been to outside your home country? One? None? You have probably seen pictures of places all over the world, and the internet makes it easy to look them up and explore virtually. That’s nothing to the experience you would have if you actually traveled to them for real. Check out these seven
beautiful places in the world
that you need to see in real life. Don’t just read about them: seriously consider visiting them. Your place of residence is beautiful, but there’s so much more out there you might not even know about.
1. The Arctic Circle
Perhaps you are searching for a few glimpses of wildlife, in the actual wild and not in a zoo, at some point on your journey around the world. Maybe you are looking for someplace colorful, or whose climate makes you feel like you’re not even on the planet anymore. If any of these things are on your list, there’s an ideal place to mark on your travel map. A mere 1,650 miles from the North Pole, the Arctic Circle is a place you can access from many different locations in the world, but still unlike anything you have ever seen before or will ever see again. You can take a tour, or a cruise; you can see whales and polar bears. You can just stand and admire the natural beauty (snap a few photos while you’re there, too). Learn more about everything the Arctic Circle has to offer its visitors.
2. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
If you have never traveled to any part of South America, Brazil is a great place to start. If you’re heading down that way, you might as well begin your journey at Rio de Janeiro, which is full of a wide variety of sites and attractions and local culture to satisfy your senses and curiosity. In Rio de Janeiro, you’ll have so much fun you might not want to leave (but there’s always a next time, right?). You can take the more cultural route and visit a plethora of museums and architectural wonders, or you can relax on the beach, check out the many vendors or enjoy some great food … or all of the above, and then some.
3. Palawan Island
Have you ever run away to an island, or thought about it, just to take in the beautiful scenery around you? If you travel to Palawan Island, which includes many different islands open to exploration, you can do just that, and so much more. Located in the Philippines, Palawan Island offers boat tours to view its underground river, beautiful beaches and even the chance to view the area’s breathtaking marine life while scuba diving or snorkeling. You can even go on one of almost a dozen sightseeing tours so an expert can help point out everything you don’t want to miss.
4. Okavango Delta
What do you picture when you hear the word “safari”? If you have never considered embarking on a real life safari, you might want to change your mind. A real African safari will completely alter the way you see the world, and because it is affordable and completely accessible, you really have no excuse not to go. If you are itching for a true exotic adventure, head to Botswana and explore the Okavango Delta, where you will find a literal oasis deep within an African desert. The wildlife is just one of many reasons why visiting this remote location is a necessity at least once, if not multiple times throughout your life.
5. Cappadocia, Turkey
One good reason to take temporary leave from your normal life to visit someplace new is the opportunities it allows for a whole lot of walking. Think about it: how much walking do you really do in a day? Unfortunately, you probably spend most of your work day hunched over your desk, and when you do get a good walk in, the scenery is nothing compared to what you might find elsewhere. Cappadocia, Turkey is a place built for walking, and the sights and attractions along the way are worth every step. If you add this trip to your bucket list and someday make the arrangements, you will have the chance to explore underground cities and churches and even castles. Learn more about all the things you will be able to see once you arrive.
6. Brecon Beacons National Park
If you are hoping to head somewhere you have zero chance of getting bored visiting, consider a trip to Wales, Brecon Beacons National Park specifically. When you visit Brecon Beacons National Park, you won’t run out of things to do. In fact, there’s so much to see and do while you’re there that you might not even get the chance to see it all. It’s a dream come true. Whether you’re looking for excellent food at drink at one of the park’s many festivals, a little bit of culture or history or just a beautiful place to take a very long walk, you will find it here. Visit a castle, or a lake, or a valley. Look onto a waterfall or a canal. It’s all there, just waiting for you to find it.
7. Venice, Italy
As with all the other locations described here, Venice is not anything like what you have seen in pictures or on T.V.: it is a thousand times better. City life in Venice probably isn’t anything like what you’re used to at home, either, which can be a good thing. Don’t just go on a vacation for the sake of getting away: go for the sake of discovering something completely new. You can stand in wonder at Venice’s many canals, wander through the streets or stop at one of many coffee shops. Visit a museum or two and marvel at the art you can only dream of creating yourself. Venture into the area’s churches and cathedrals. It is a location so beautiful you will never forget it. Start with this guide if you are thinking about planning a trip here someday. Travel to these seven
beautiful places around the world
at least once in your lifetime. Expand your cultural horizons and dare to gaze upon landmarks and wonders you just can’t appreciate the same way in pictures as you can in real life.

Re: 7 BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN THE WORLD THAT YOU NEED TO SEE IN REAL LIFE
TOP 10 SCARY JAPANESE URBAN LEGENDS
10. Teke-Teke
This is the Urban Legend about a girl who fell under a train and was cut in half. She became a vengeful spirit that moves using her hands and elbows, dragging herself while making the sound -Tek-Tek- … if you hear that noise, youre supposed to run. Those who are caught by the Tek Tek will recieve a fate like her - shes said to slash her victims in half so that they look like her, and possibly become wandering vengeful spirits as she is.
9.
Slit Mouthed Woman
You may recognise this one from a number of Japanese movies and TV shows. The traditional name for this being is Kuchi-sake-onna and dates back over 300 years ago. She is a woman who was brutally mutilated by her husband after he found she was having an affair with another Samurai. This left her in death as a restless spirit. She is said to cover her mouth with a cloth mask, a fan or a scarf. If you approach her, shell ask you if you think shes pretty. If you answer yes, she will remove the mask and when the victim screams they will be slashed from ear to ear until they look like her. Even if you say no, shes said to follow you home and brutally murder you that night.
8. Daruma-san
This urban legend is more of an old game passed down through the years. You shower in a bath, turn off the lights and chant -Daruma-san fell down- while you wash your hair … its said that you will see a woman in your mind. She is Daruma-San. Shell be standing up in a bath. Youll see her slip and fall onto an old rusty tap. It goes straight through her eye and kills her. Then, you will feel her ghostly presence behind you. If you turn around - there she is. Black tangled hair, rotting clothes, one eye is bloodshot and the other is just a bloody, hollow eye socket. The game continues even further than that if you dare, but I think thats enough for you to understand this
creepy urban legend
.
7. Girl From The Gap
This Japanese story comes from peoples natural fear of what lies lurking in the cracks of a home. Do you ever see something move past the hinge of a door? Is that someone looking out from inside your wardrobe? Have you ever pictured a hand reaching out from between your bed and the floor? Well it could be the girl from the gap - a spirit that lives both physically and metaphorically -between worlds-. Its said that if you ever see her, she will ask if you want to play hide and seek. At that point the game is on. When you her between a gap again, shell drag you to an other worldly hell.
6. The Red Room
This is a very
modern Japanese urban legend
about a pop up ad thats red with black test. In a childs voice, it simply repeats the phrase -Do you like?-. A boy who got the popup tried to close it but it kept reappearing. Then, it changed to -Do you like red?- … he keeps trying to close it but it grows large and changes again to say -Do you like the red room?- … then, the site changes. All red and black. It has a list of names on it - his friends is at the bottom. And hand reaches out towards the boys neck from a video. tHE Ending gets even more twisted but guess what, its based on a real website. Its still out there. If you can find it, youll know the gruesome legend of the red room and if the horrible ending comes true for you.
5. The Human Pillars
This legend dates back to ancient times in Japan where its known as Hito-bashira. Back then, there was a belief that a human sacrifice sealed inside a structure would make a foundation more stable. This means that many old Japanese buildings are said to contain the spirits of the people who were sacrificed during their construction. One famous example is Matsue Castle where a woman was sealed inside the foundations during its construction. Now her spirit is said to haunt the castle and whenever a woman dances there, the castle shakes violently. Many building owners in Japan are open about their building being a Human Pillar.
4. The Snake Woman
This one comes from the old Japanese folklore pf Nure-onna which translates to wet woman. She is often described as having the head of a woman and the body of a snake - with long claws, snake eyes and jet black hair. She carries with her a childlike bundle to lure in her victims. If a person tries to pick up the baby, they find its not a child at all. The bundle then becomes very heavy and stops the victim from fleeing. The snake woman then uses her long tongue to suck all of the blood from the victims body until they die.
3. Onibaba
She is a demon women that often appears in Japanese folk folklore. She will often appear as an old woman asking for help but if you get to close, she will slice you open with a knife and eat you. She is said to be the tormented spirit of a woman who accidently killed her pregnant daughter and unborn grandchild in an effort to find a cure for her friends child being sick. She was told to bring them the liver of an unborn child but when she finally killed her victims, she found they were her own family.
2. The Dream School
This one is extra creepy because apparently if you don't forget it within a week - it will happen to you. Lets see if this is true. One night, a boy had a dream about a school. The hallways looped forever, bringing him back to the start. Staircases led back to the first floor. As he got scared, he heard footsteps behind him. He ran until he found an emergency exit with a glass box and a key next to it. The glass had been smashed and there was a note saying it could be found in room 108. When he found that room, it was empty - no students - but there were backpacks hanging off every chair. There was a pounding on the door. He opened it, terrified, to find the hallways covered with dead children. Its said that he never woke up from his dream and if you don't forget the story in one week, youll meet the same fate. Don't worry though guys
1. Onryo
This is a
traditional Japanese ghost
belief about a vengeful spirt that can and will physically hurt the living. Its a very scary concept if youre only familiar with the western idea of ghosts which don't really take solid forms and so cant hurt humans with physical contact. Thats not true for an Onryo. They are vengeful and full of hate, stopping at nothing to enact the suffering they received when they were alive. For any of you guys who have seen The Grudge, this spirit is the influence for that creepy girl in that movie.

FLYING DRONES used to be complicated, but the tech has come a long way since they were first deployed for commercial and military purposes. Developments in technology have made drones smaller and easier to operate, with DJI a leader in this field. The DJI Mavic Mini fits in the palm of your hand. With its propellers folded it’s just 140 mm long and 57 mm high. It also clocks in at only 249 g. Getting this little guy airborne
is very easy. Using a dedicated remote controller, the drone is operated via a WiFi signal that transmits 2.7k video and 12 MP photos captured by the 1/2.3-inch sensor. The three-axis motorised gimbal ensures camera stability. Several filming modes offer different results: ‘Dronie’ lets you fly backwards and forwards while
tracking a subject, and ‘Circle’ enables you to circle the subject at a constant distance and altitude.
There are tutorials and pre-editing templates to assist beginners, meaning you’ll be capturing excellent footage in no time.

London
Tough anti-terrorism laws:
The British government
announced plans to introduce a series of broad anti-terrorism measures this week, amid growing concerns about the threat posed by homegrown jihadists. Under the proposals unveiled by Home Secretary Theresa May, police will be able to seize the passports of any person they suspect might be plotting to carry out terrorism in the U.K. or abroad. Security services will also be given more power to track terrorism suspects online, and insurance companies will be barred from covering ransom payments to free hostages. It is thought that at least 500 Britons have traveled abroad to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, and 27 have died in fighting.
Cablotales, Honduras
Beauty queen slain: The bodies of Miss Honduras 2014 and her older sister were discovered in a shallow grave last week, six days after the pair went missing. Maria Jose Alvarado, 19, and Sofia Trinidad, 23, were last seen at a birthday party for Trinidad’s boyfriend, Plutarco Ruiz. Police say Ruiz confessed to shooting both sisters in a jealous rage after seeing Trinidad dancing with another man; he and an alleged accomplice are both in custody. The case has riveted Honduras, which has the highest peacetime murder rate in the world. “A lot of girls die this way,” said former presidential candidate Salvador Nasrallah, “but because they’re not famous, it doesn’t get the attention.”
Granada, Spain
Catholic abuse scandal: Spanish police arrested three Catholic priests and a religion teacher on suspicion of child sex abuse this week after one of their alleged victims wrote to Pope Francis asking for help. Authorities began looking into possible cases of clerical abuse after a 24-year-old teacher from Granada wrote to the pontiff, describing how several priests abused him when he was an altar boy. He told Spanish media last week that the pope phoned him and apologized for the abuse, and soon after the men were arrested. The Vatican has refused to confirm or deny the call. The arrests came a day after the archbishop of Granada prostrated himself in the city’s cathedral during Sunday Mass and asked for “forgiveness for the sins of the Church.”
Anconcillo, Peru
Sea lion mystery: The rotting corpses of some 500 sea lions washed up on a Peruvian beach this week, prompting speculation that the animals had been killed by industrial pollution, a mass illness, or even intentional poisoning by local fishermen. The governor of the Samanco district, about 250 miles north of Lima, sent an open letter to police claiming the sea lions, which swim near shore to hunt for fish and scallops, were poisoned by fishermen and marine farmers in a bid to protect fish stocks. Local authorities vowed to investigate. The incident follows a similar mass dieoff last month in northern Peru, when the bodies of nearly 200 sea lions, dolphins, turtles, and pelicans washed ashore.
Maastricht, Netherlands
Mom to the rescue: A Dutch mother who traveled to the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, Syria, returned home with her teenage daughter last week after allegedly rescuing her from the terrorist group. Sterlina Petalo, a blue-eyed, blond-haired Catholic girl, reportedly traveled to Syria in February to marry Omar Yilmaz, a former Dutch soldier turned jihadist whom she met online. “She saw him as a sort of Robin Hood,” said her mother, Monique Verbert, who made the dangerous journey against the advice of Dutch officials. Authorities detained Petalo, 19, as soon as she arrived back in the Netherlands over fears she might pose a threat after spending months with hardened Islamist fighters. “We don’t know what she did over there,” said prosecutor Roger Bos. “Is she a victim or a suspect? Maybe she’s both.”
Santiago, Chile
Torturers jailed: Two retired Chilean air force colonels have been jailed for torturing and murdering the father of
Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet
in 1974. A judge in Santiago sentenced Ramon Caceres Jorquera and Edgar Cevallos Jones to two and three years, respectively, for the crime of “torture resulting in the death” of Alberto Bachelet Martinez. A general in the air force, Martinez was imprisoned and charged with treason during Gen. Augusto Pinochet’s military dictatorship because he opposed the coup that overthrew socialist President Salvador Allende. After Martinez was repeatedly tortured, he died of a heart attack. His widow, Angela Jeria, said the verdict gave her hope that “justice will come for all of those who were held with my husband.”
Istanbul
Erdogan in sexism flap: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sparked a furor after he said at a conference on women’s rights that women could never be equal to men. Erdogan, whose conservative Islamist ideology often outrages more liberal sectors of Turkish society, told conferencegoers that women’s “delicate nature” meant they were unsuited for many traditionally male jobs. He added that Islam gives women a clear role in life. “What station is this?” he asked. “The station of motherhood.” He went on to praise his own mother, saying that, when he was younger, he frequently kissed her feet “because they smelled of paradise.” Opposition politician Aylin Nazliaka said Erdogan’s anti-feminist comments amounted to a “hate crime.”
Mandera, Kenya
Bus slaughter: Fighters from the Somali Islamist group al-Shabab attacked a bus in neighboring Kenya last week and systematically executed 28 passengers who couldn’t recite an Islamic creed and were assumed to be non-Muslims. Nineteen men and nine women were killed in the atrocity, which al-Shabab said was carried out in retaliation for recent raids by Kenyan troops on four Somali mosques along the Kenyan coast. A survivor of the massacre said 10 gunmen ambushed the Nairobi-bound bus near the Somali border and ordered passengers to read verses from the Quran. “Those who failed to read were ordered to lie down,” said passenger Ahmed Mahat. “One by one, they were shot in the head at point-blank range.”
Beijing
Cementing an island claim: Satellite images have revealed that China is building an artificial island in a hotly contested area of the South China Sea that could accommodate an airstrip and naval base. Defense publication IHS Jane’s said it obtained images that showed
Chinese land-reclamation
efforts on a reef in the mineral-rich Spratly Islands—which are claimed by China, Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam—had created a new landmass more than 2 miles long and up to 1,000 feet wide. That is large enough to hold a runway, and dredgers are reportedly creating a harbor big enough to receive warships. “This facility,” said IHS Jane’s, “appears purpose-built to coerce other claimants into relinquishing their claims and possessions.”
Kyoto, Japan
‘Black widow’ busted: A Japanese woman whose partners kept meeting untimely deaths has been arrested on suspicion of poisoning them. Dubbed the “black widow,” Chisako Kakehi is being held after traces of cyanide were found during the autopsy of her fourth husband, who died last year just weeks after they wed. All three of Kakehi’s previous husbands, along with three boyfriends, died within a few years of starting a relationship with her; police say the 67-year-old has amassed more than $6.8 million in life insurance claims and inheritance money relating to their deaths. Kakehi denies any foul play, insisting she is merely “doomed by fate.”

Obama extends combat role: President Obama has quietly approved guidelines to expand U.S. combat operations in Afghanistan, just months after he pledged to limit the military’s mission in the war-torn country. In May, Obama announced that U.S. forces would end their combat role in Afghanistan in December and that the 9,800 troops remaining in the country would focus on training Afghan troops and hunting down the “remnants of al Qaida.” But The New York Times reported last week that Obama’s new order authorizes U.S. forces to conduct missions against the Taliban and provide air support to Afghan troops. The decision is a recognition that local forces still aren’t ready to face down the Taliban; more than 4,600 Afghan troops have been killed so far this year, 6.5 percent more than a year ago.

Defining Israel: Israel’s cabinet this week approved draft legislation that would define the country as the nation-state of the Jewish people, a move that is likely to heighten tensions with Israeli Arabs. Since Israel’s founding in 1948, the country’s Basic Law—its de facto constitution—has always referred to the state as “Jewish and democratic.” But the new bill, supported by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, would amend the Basic Law to refer to Israel as “the national homeland of the Jewish people.” Opponents of the bill said the wording change would codify discrimination against Israeli Arabs, who make up 20 percent of the population, and make them second-class citizens. Netanyahu said he would make sure the legislation guarantees “equal individual rights for every citizen” before the Knesset votes on it.
